BASIC STAT INCREASES

People advance through experience in real life and so will your characters. To gain more stats, abilities, skills, and so on, your character must gain the experience to do so. A character will spend their experience to get stronger, smarter, and more skilled. You use experience to buy everything to advance your character. Of course, this does not include items within the game. The DM will toss those at you as he or she wishes.

Everything you can buy is named in the plethora of charts below. Use them to create abilities and magic, only limited by your imagination and character experience. The first chart is your basic stat increase chart, consisting of health, stamina, and so on.

The GM decides when you're able to upgrade your character. While one GM may allow it when you sleep, others may allow you to buy off the fly and during the session. Since there are no levels, there is no "you've gained enough experience, time to level," so the GM has to use their discretion on when players advance.

The basic stats that can be increased are Health, Stamina, Mana, Defense, Ability Scores, Skill Points, Initiative, and Speed.

Note that there is no "per level" feature for this system. Everything bought is an after the fact purchase system. This means +1 skill point is just 1 extra skill point.

If you're in a higher fantasy, hero, or "epic" type story, you can halve these numbers. If you're going more realistic, you can double them.

THE MODIFIER TABLE

This is where you will spend your experience to increase the modifier for attacking with ranged, melee, or magic. The talents you create will also work off this table. Costs Stack. There is no limit on how many you can buy. It is cheaper to save up for a certain modifier over immediately buying lower grade modifiers, but be careful on how long you choose to wait. Waiting too long can get you or your people killed.

UPGRADING YOUR SECONDARY DICE

Your secondary dice is any dice that you roll after the fact. It's the dice you roll to damage, heal, or for duration. Upgrading your secondary dice is easy since it is only two dice: d4 or d6. All damage and healing dice are d6 while duration dice are d4.

Increasing d6: 80xp
Increasing d4: 100xp

Table of Classes
Unlike everything else in the system, the mana cost of a spell is not bought by experience. Instead, it is based off of the Magic Class and any Secondary Dice.
Damage Dice > Duration Dice. If no damage, use duration.

The Difficulty Table
The difficulty of a spell or talent will be gauged using this table. If you're not sure what level an ability will be on for the world that you are currently role playing in, then consult your DM.
